A New Release of Showdocument

Showdocument has just got a new release with new looks and features!

Showdocument contains a set of tools for online real-time collaboration. It enables multiple users to work together; for example, to sketch on a whiteboard, view and annotate maps and even watch videos simultaneously. The new version is more stable and includes a new text-editor and an improved user experience with a new user interface.

A new word-processor

The new release of Showdocument includes a new version of the collaborative document editor, which now supports creating, opening, editing and saving Microsoft® Word documents (doc and docx file formats) as well as other text documents (e.g. rtf, txt).

As shown in the screenshot below, the application supports various text properties like font, size, color etc, as well as alignment. It also supports multi-languages, so writing in right-to-left languages such as Arabic and Hebrew is also enabled.

Looks better and easier to use!

The general look and feel of the application has been improved and is now more contemporary looking. We’ve been working hard to improve the user interface, so the updated interface is more pleasant and the application is easier to use.

Scalability and stability

Various server changes have been implemented that allow the system to deal with activity peaks when many users use it at the same time. Remember that in a collaborative session, Showdocument supports not only two but a multiple number of concurrent users.

Try it

Try the new version of Showdocument for yourself – we’d love to hear your feedback.
